Temporary Fix for FiberShop on Windows 11 (24H2 Update)

We have identified an issue with FiberShop on the latest Windows 11 update (24H2). This issue prevents the software from launching properly. To address this, we have released a temporary fix in the form of an updated executable file (FiberShop.exe).

Steps to Apply the Fix

  1. Download FiberShop: If FiberShop is not already installed on your system, please download the full version of FiberShop and install it.
  2. Download the Temporary Fix File: Download the updated FiberShop.exe file from this page
  3. Replace the File:
    • Navigate to the folder where FiberShop is installed (e.g., C: > Program Files > FiberShop > 3.1.0).
    • Replace the existing FiberShop.exe file with the one you downloaded.

When launching the updated FiberShop.exe file, you might encounter a security warning from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. This is expected and does not indicate a security issue.

To proceed:

  1. Click More Info on the warning screen.
  2. Select Run Anyway.

We assure you that the file is safe and this warning is temporary. The upcoming full release of FiberShop will resolve this issue and eliminate the security prompt.

Next Steps

This is a temporary fix. A full, updated version of FiberShop will be released in the coming days, which will include a permanent solution for this issue. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
